Vera Petry specialized in early msic performance practice in the Netherlands and Belgium.

She graduated with a concert diploma in recorder as her major subject at the Maastricht Conservatory of Music with Jerome Minis.

She also studied harpsichord as a major with Siebe Henstra at the Utrecht Conservatory and chamber music with Philippe Pierlot at the Liege Conservatory of music .

Her recorder playing has received several awards, including the Förderpreis der Stadt Saarbrücken.

Tours with the baroque ensembles of the Berlin Philharmonic have taken her as a soloist to Asia and throughout Europe. She has worked with the conductor and baroque violinist Reinhard Goebel, the flutist Jacques Zoon and the harpsichordist Siebe Henstra.

In 2008 she founded the baroque music ensemble LA MERAVIGLIA.

Vera Petry lives as a freelance musician and instrumental teacher in Berlin.
